As she focused on the road, learning to move forward with caution and confidence, I realized this quiet moment perfectly mirrors our mission at EKMOI. While much of my time is spent on roof repairs and structural integrity, moments like this remind me of the human integrity we are building.
Lessons from the Driver’s Seat
I took a brief pause from the physical work at the orphanage to teach my daughter how to drive. You can see a glimpse of that afternoon here:
On the surface, this is just a driving lesson. In reality, it is a lesson in trust and preparation. We guide them now so that tomorrow they can navigate the world on their own.
Guiding Our Children Home
This resonates deeply with our work at the Esther KaiKai Memorial Orphanage. Just as I want my own children to be safe and independent, we desire the same for every child under our roof. Our priority is to ensure they are equipped for the road of life.
