The 2023 Esther Kaikai Memorial Foundation Fundraiser was an emotional and inspiring event, showcasing the tremendous progress at the EKMOI orphanage. It also highlighted the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead as we continue to build a brighter future for the children under our care.
This year’s focus was on critical infrastructure updates, including the construction of a high perimeter wall for enhanced security, an outdoor kitchen, and additional bathroom facilities. Plans are also underway to install solar panels, backup generators, and a secure enclosure for our farm animals, ensuring the sustainability and safety of the community.
During the fundraiser, we heard heartfelt testimonials from the children, who shared how their lives have been transformed through EKMOI. These stories were a powerful reminder of why this work is so important. From access to consistent meals and quality education to learning about faith and gaining hope for the future, each child’s journey reflects the profound impact of your support.
The event also emphasized the financial needs to complete the project, including funds for cement, tiles, plumbing, and electrical work. Our goal of $250,000 will help ensure the completion of this life-changing project, covering construction, educational needs, and daily operations.
