On July 30th, 2023, we gathered in Bo Town, Sierra Leone, for a heartwarming celebration: all of our EKMOI children passed to the next grade! This joyous occasion called for a special dinner to honor their academic achievements.
Under the compassionate leadership of Mrs. Maseray Young, President of the Esther Kaikai Memorial Outreach, these children have been thriving—thanks to the grace of God and the unwavering support of our community. It was a night filled with smiles, laughter, and gratitude. Even a local police officer joined us to show support for the children and their incredible progress.
As the dinner began, we paused to reflect and give thanks. Elgin Young led the group in a heartfelt prayer, acknowledging God’s guidance and provision for the ongoing mission of building a stable, nurturing home for these children. He also expressed gratitude for Jonathan, a dedicated builder from Mexico, who has been instrumental in advancing our construction projects.
This dinner was more than a celebration—it was a reminder of the transformative power of education, love, and faith. Each child represents a bright future, and we remain committed to providing them with the tools they need to succeed.
Congratulations to all our students for their hard work and dedication. You make us proud every day!
